Graphic designers usually charge based on experience, designers with less experience may save you money but more experienced designers always ensure a higher standard of product and service. It's worth bearing in mind - always be aware of false economy!

The Graphic Design facility is an integral part of the development function and provides high-end creativity - formatting and amending a variety of client-facing materials such as pitches, client notes, newsletters, and presentation materials in Word and PowerPoint. Substantial experience within professional services environments in traditional drawing board commercial design through to state of the art media technology utilising Apple Mac OSX with comprehensive knowledge and practical use of the platform incorporating latest versions of QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, Acrobat, GoLive, etc.

I can cover freelance, temporary, contract or permanent work in Desk Top Publishing, Graphic Design, Digital Mac or PC Artworking or Proof Reading, having substantial operational experience, skills and background including direct client facing and customer service.

This experience over many years has been achieved in marketing departments, design studios and agencies so I'm very familiar with company systems and procedures in the creative field and in the financial sector. I have extensive proof reading expertise in pagination, layouts and publication presentation & pre-print preparation and production processes, abilities and qualifications utilising advanced Mac OSX.5/ Windows PC skills in all relevant packages. These include: Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXpress, MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel). Exposure to Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) in conversion of text and graphics to an Internet-ready format.

I have excellent communication abilities and a strong work ethic. I can deal courteously with people from all levels of management and staff, very good interaction with customers, clients and printing companies and am able to express design concepts and layout options with them, together with mathematical calculations, computation ratios to scale graphics and artwork, estimate job costs, and have a full understanding and facility with computers, printers, scanners, and all other office equipment and technologies.

Further – constant manual dexterity, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as a team member. I have excellent eyesight, including visual acuity, depth perception, a wide field of view, colour vision, and the ability to focus quickly as assets as well as having an intrinsic artistic ability. I am extremely even-tempered and adaptable, which helps when under pressure to meet stringent deadlines.

* Accurate preparation of files for print, creation of hi-res, print ready PDFs and liaison with printers. Full knowledge of use of Typography, Colour Management, Pre-press procedures, Outputting, Printing processes, Design Visuals, Electronic data handling.
